Question for ALL about Howard trade-new style

And if Phillip buchanon can get a second and a 3rd for the Raiders from the Texans, Howard damn well better be in that neighborhood.

That\'s got to tell you that waiting WAS the right thing. Imagine that we had taken some of the metioned scenarios involving picks, like a 2nd from Dallas and THEN we saw this trade happen..... it would be :casstet: all over this board!
Glad to see the FO take a stand, let\'s hope it pays off.

Well the situations are different, but giving up a second and third might be acceptable to some teams. I don\'t think you can easily compare the Buchanon trade to a proposed Howard trade. So many variables are different. We are getting rid of a luxury player who would\'ve shared time with a younger player, while the Raiders were losing someone who\'s a definite starter. It\'s apples and oranges.

That swapping picks thing with Dallas is totally stupid though. Doesn\'t mean it\'s outside the realm of possibility though.

I still think a high second is pretty fair(#38), but the Saints are doing the right thing by gouging Howard\'s suitors.
