this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The word is that his sideline was telling him to get down on the field so they could let the backup throw a few warm ups....

Re: Cam Newton's Sack
Carolina fans crying because some cheered when he was knocked out.
They don't know how loud and insane the dome was yesterday. Some cheering "who dat" are prolly drunk as skunk and not even watching the game. Tears. |

Re: Cam Newton's Sack
I think it was both a concussion and an eye poke. Funny thing is that he poked himself in the eye with his thumb while he was on the ground. When Onyemata was getting up after the sack, his foot accidentally hit Cam's hand which happened to be inside his helmet, and his own thumb poked him in the eye. Watch the replay. It's pretty clear.

Re: Cam Newton's Sack
He should have gone into concussion protocol. But they needed him to try and win...

Re: Cam Newton's Sack
Also he was holding one eye coming off the field and the other on the bench.
Did you see his post game interview. He was all dressed like a pimp. He seemed slow. He also insinuated many times that other players didn’t do their job. Basically throwing his team under the bus. |

Cam goes to the locker room and 1 million casual fans turn the channel. Not to mention how big of a story they could make about division rivals that went to the Super Bowl 2 years in a row in the NFCCG if Carolina was to win. |

Am I immature because I laughed at the title of this thread?
