Re: Saints at Vikings Divisional Game Day Thread
Being that I'm still sitting here in shock I was thinking about the last play. Not a strategy I thought of at the time because giving up a 61 yard TD never entered my mind but what if all the Saints DB's just tackled every vikes receiver at the line and just held them down. By the time the play is over there's probably only 3-4 seconds and it's only a 5 yard penalty. Now the defense isn't worried about protecting the sideline and it comes down to a 56 yard hail mary or one of those lateral plays. Again, I'm just trying to think of all the different things that could of happened during that play and this strategy popped into me head. I probably need to just go to sleep, haha.

Re: Saints at Vikings Divisional Game Day Thread
Horrible way for it all to end BUT
Im damn proud of this team. They took monumental strides forwards this year. Hit hard by injuries all the back ups anf sreet pick uos came in and played their ass off. You win and loosevas a unit so im not having this on Williams. The refs home bias on them first too drives left them in a hole, the stuttering offense and then coming back started by the Williams pick. Onto the off season retoll and reshape and come back stronger Who Dat |

The last place you want PJ to play is the slot. that was the scouting report on him coming out of college. Injury history? added talent on the outside? Does not matter. he has a long way to go if he reaches that level in the slot has yet to be seen out of him. Bubble bait

Re: Saints at Vikings Divisional Game Day Thread
I know I was pretty hard on Williams but honestly that was what felt like his only mistake of the year. On another note, we need a pass rusher an DT, WR and LB and depth all across the board the Vikings game showed our Flaws and they attacked the areas we need the most work on. This game we can learn alot from.

Also we left at least 17 points on the field. Miss pass to Kamara and Ginn and the red zone INT off the tipped pass. That game should not have been that close. Once the Saints become consistent and stop hurting themselves then we will make long runs in the playoffs.

Also not to mention the missed holding/PI on Rhodes or the Hold on Onyematta or the Neutral zone infraction by Tom Johnson. These refs seem to only call penalties on the Saints

Re: Saints at Vikings Divisional Game Day Thread
Just finished watching the game here in Finland after a busy day, and it was a nail-biter.
Really disappointed in how it ended, but overall I'm happy with how the Saints fought back after the horrendous 1st half. It's a shame Williams didn't make the play in the end, and I'm pretty mad about it to be honest, but I'm not mad at him - if that makes any sense. If the offense would've made that 3rd and 1 it wouldn't have even been a possibility. Another great draft, another off-season for these rookies, get the injured guys back in rotation and bring in good FA additions = the Saints will be unstoppable next year. |
