Well, geez, saintwhodi !!

If I were betting a large amount of cash on what their records would be, then .... I would say 8-8!!

Your turn, buddy!!

Barring key injuries(such as Priest with the Chiefs last year or a Culpepper going down), better than 8-8.
You disappoint me, saintwhodi !!!

Better that 8-8? Is that the best prediction you can make?

I see for all the great players that the Chiefs and Vikings have signed that you still can\'t muster-up enough courage to make a real prediction?!

Try again?!
I personally am not in the habit of predicting records. There are too many variables involved. However, the key is to put yourself in the best position to succeed. Can you say that KC and Minnesota have done a better job at that than the Saints? Absolutely. I don\'t see how anyone can disagree.

The Saints definitely did better this year, and it could be a lot better depending on how tomorrow goes. But KC and Minnesota definitely made strides to drastically improve their teams....that is all we are saying.

Good call GT.

Not playing your game Gum. I make predictions on the Saints, not other teams. But GT put it best, are you gonna sit here and say the Saints have done MORE than those teams to improve? How about that for a real question?

in the land of parody there aren\'t many teams out of 7-9 to 9-7 betting. how many before the draft? pats, eagles, colts, maybe the vikes n steelers on top and hardly anybody on the bottom, niners okay, redskins? giants?

i assume the paralells between the vikes under tice\'s reign and haz here are seen. more than any record, not staying with a same formula that has proven to yield only the same results is what i like about that situation. over a third of the league gets into the playoffs. i hope n desire is for this franchise to be much better than just bump into post season with the same erratic performance and mediocre record of the past few years. Four years is a lifetime in the win-now oriented nfl.

Note: I\'m not speaking to everyone who likes what the Vikings and Chiefs have done. I\'m speaking to those folks who predict the Saints to finish 8-8 based on what they\'ve done in free-agency!!

So, some of you guys can tell me the Saints are likely to finish 8-8, but you\'re too scared to predict what the Vikings and Chiefs record will be.

I see ...

Yeah. scared, that\'s it. Hhhmm, since we post on a Saints board, who do we know about more, the Saints, or the vikes and Chiefs? I don\'t know who owns the Chiefs, I only know who owns the Vikes cause I live in TX and hear about McCombs often, but I have known who has owned the Saints since I have been watching football. I know how bringing in player A and not bringing in player B effects the SAINTS not anyone else. So what you are asking for is based on some free agent moves, albeit some damn good ones, and limited overall knowledge of a team, you want someone to predict an exact record for them? And you take the cowardly 8-8 and then call people scared when they won\'t take a guess based on limited knowledge? The Vikes were 8-8 last year and have gotten better where they needed to the most, defense. They got a pro bowl safety(Sharper), a pro bowl corner(Smoot) and an up and coming LB(Harris) and I am to think they won;t be better than 8-8? Plus they have two first round picks in the draft? The chiefs went 8-8 with their best player(Holmes) hurt half the year. They got a pro bowl corner(Surtain) and a damn good LB(Bell) plus a DE(Hall) and I am to assume with their best weapon back and upgrades at D they won\'t be better? And you took the cowardly 8-8? Please.

But to predict 8-8 for the Saints, who got a safety(wow), and a RG to play RT(I am really excited now) but basically kept the same team outside of those two moves is somehow a crime? Get a grip. And this is coming fromt he guy who himself said the Saints right now are at best an 8-8 team. Bud, try that on someone else.

So, you freely admit that you don\'t know much about the NFL other than the Saints.

That explains a lot to me and why you say some of the things you say.

If you\'re scared ... say you\'re scared !!

I figured some of you would be tellin\' us how the Vikings and Chiefs were almost assured of being a true super bowl contender based on their great free-agent signings.

But, some of you are too scared because you don\'t want to be wrong.

So, I can only assume that no matter who the Saints signed in free-agency that some of you would still preach 8-8!

Saints will go 9-7... hopefully we can manage a wildcard spot. If not, back to the drawing board. Minnesota may have made drastic strides, but who are to say they will have that chemistry? Look at Washington for a couple of years straight... they are the perfect example. Daniel Snyder spent millions and millions of dollars signing top notch free agents and it got them absolutely no where. Look at the players they used last year, a revamped no name defense who came relatively cheap. Sometimes the best move is no move at all, or minor acquistions who fit the \"team.\" Therefore I like what the Saints have done so far this offseason. By trading Howard tomorrow, it will get even better with an acqusition of an additional draft pick. I would have loved for us to sign Jamie Sharper... but oh well can\'t get everything in life.

My prediction for the Vikings 9-7... and the year after 10 plus games. Kansas City will have around the same thing depending on the health of Kendrall Bell. Getting Patrick Surtain will also help. There offense certainly can win them 10 plus games, but without a defense they won\'t make it far. Too many outstanding defenses in the AFC.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

THAT\'S what you took from my post? Wow. :seeingstars: I think that explains it all.

No, I freely admit that based on some free agent moves, albeit aggressive and good moves, I can\'t sit here and accurately predict a record for the Chiefs or the Vikes next year. What\'s your excuse for hardly knowing anything about the NFL and always blindly predicting the best possible outcome for a team you should know at least a little something about by now?
