Re: Saints' ongoing search for a Drew Brees heir begins in earnest this week at Senior Bowl
Baker Mayfield is very comparable to Drew; interesting to see if we take him at the end of Round 1...

I think we're planning to sign Drew to a 3 year contract and the team fully expects him to full fill that contract at 100%. With competent backups on the team, I doubt we'll spend draft picks for a QB.
If we move up in the first round for any offensive position that would definitely be Tight End. |

He makes up for lack of hand size with his large ego.
It seems to be working for him for quite well. |

I just don't know if Mayfield is going to be there when we pick. I don't see us trying to trade up to get him either.
I think Drew is going to be with us 2-3 years. Even if he loses some more on his deep passes he still have great accuracy. Essentially we are moving to the Kenny Stabler days. He couldn't throw the ball pass 20 yards but he could make any throw under 20 lol. |

With so many top-notch QBs coming out this year, there is going to be a ton of movement at that position add to that Foles, Brissett, Glennon, Bradford could be available and Tom Savage and Osweiler. And, oh yeah, Cousins. |

Re: Saints' ongoing search for a Drew Brees heir begins in earnest this week at Senior Bowl
Will they really be stupid enough to trade up to draft him?
All I have to say is I now see what SP is all about and when Brees is done, I think that's it for me. I am not rooting for the image SP is enforcing. Brees is too nice and pure for the saints to be the villain team SP wants. |
