What a month it's been for Sean Payton.
By my count, he's alienated the entire NFC South and is now extending his trolling campaign to further NFL precincts. If you're keeping track, in the past five weeks Payton has: Brandished the choke sign at Falcons running back Devonta Freeman. Engaged in a bizarre midfield slap fight with Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter. Broken out a broom in his post-game locker room to taunt the Panthers. And mocked Minnesota Vikings fans from the sidelines with a Skol clap during the waning seconds of the Saints-Vikings playoff game on Sunday. If Payton is on some kind of Make the Saints Hated Again campaign, he's accomplishing his mission. He has single-handedly turned the Saints, one of the most likable group of players you'd ever want to meet, into the NFL's most despised team this side of New England. Panthers fans hate him. Falcons fans detest him. Bucs fans abhor him. And now Vikings fans, a group so considerate they've donated more than $200,000 to Thomas Morstead's Foundation, can't stand him. read more from NOLA |

Re: Sean Payton making Saints NFL's most hated team this side of Patriots
I've always preferred being a part of a tight, loyal, smaller efficient fighting force over a big dumb herd often being led to slaughter...

Re: Sean Payton making Saints NFL's most hated team this side of Patriots
I get it but then again I dont..
You have villains as players that have that type of edge and it brings out the dog in those around them which I believe is much needed to raise the bar to the next level so to speak. Now with a coach doing it I guess it serves the same purpose, but only hope he knows the fire he's fueling for ALL players including the enemy...Better back it the F up is all I'm gunna say and get his calls right as a coach or he'll pay in some way, shape,or form. I dont know exactly what to think here but I do know it Has to be Dodger Woodells fault in the end. He's the ultimate enemy and truly is deserving of all things bad. Skold-mockery instant karma? It is a stupid chant/whatever it is though Better back that **** up is all im gunna say. WHO-DAT! or Boo-Dat is the real question I believe... Kick their ass with play calling or shut up |

What he did last Sunday has nothing to do with Vikings fans hating us. They've hated us since '09.

Re: Sean Payton making Saints NFL's most hated team this side of Patriots
This makes me like Sean Peyton more. He makes lots of decisions that irk me but these didn't. Explain to me why we want Vikings fans cheering for us. The Pats are hated by everyone outside of New England and they're doing OK. Sean did quite possibly his best coaching job this year. With a very young team, we came very close to making the NFC Championship. Peyton re-invented the offense and defense to suit the players we have. Many coaches can't do this. I suspect Sean Peyton is doing these things for a reason. He thinks this group of players will perform at their best in the role as villains. Personally, I like it. I hate the no personality, Saban, Bellichick top 40 bubble gum pressers. Keep it up Sean. It's us against the world. WhoDat!

Re: Sean Payton making Saints NFL's most hated team this side of Patriots
Bring it on. I really don't give a flying rat's ass about what other fans think of our franchise. I want to be as hated as the Patriots and the rings that go with it.
