Any news on what happened to Malcom Butler?

Wonder why he didn’t play . “Coaches decision “
Does it drop his stock? If it was an attitude thing maybe we didn’t need him anyway. I’m not convinced he’s much of an upgrade over Crawly at this point.

With the season he just had, good thing the Saints didn't trade for him. Better off sticking with Crawley and Breaux for now.

Glad that trade fell apart. He will be a FA. I don't see the Pats paying Cooks either. We made the right move IMO. We also have the Pats preseason darling WR after it all went down. If that guy shows up next year we side stepped a couple of big problems in Cooks and Butler.

The Pats secondary was getting shredded through the air. Hard to believe that Butler couldn't have helped.

What about your #3/slot corner? Are you ok with PJ

or Breaux (I think he gets cut in camp). I'd still take a chance on him Malcolm. Things hadn't been right with Butler/Belichick since pre season. No doubt he had a bad season (it happens) but he's still a good player.

Thanks to BB, MB won't break the bank in Free Agency either.

From all I am hearing is that he was sick first part of the week. Sounds like he didn't practice much and they thought he couldn't contribute because of it. He has backed that stroy to a degree. Even though he felt he could have changed the game...

Major I'm totally with you that we've gotta have that third corner; but I'd rather roll the dice on Breaux's health, than overpay for Butler...

We've signed former NE players before and all turned out to be duds...

I just can't rely on Breaux any longer. Something tells me he won't stay healthy. Here are some other guys I hope we target in FA at slot corner.

60 tackles, 2 picks and played more snaps than any other Pat.

Belichick being Belichick finally caught up with him.

Butler will be a lot cheaper now and is a definite upgrade over Crawley

Fuller is gonna cost some money, but he'd be my choice, moving him to the slot on third downs with Crawley as the ready five...

Joyner is more of a safety, and I like what we have already there - FS Marcus Williams and SS Vonn Bell - than overpaying for what?

Aaron Colvin is intriguing and I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints Pro Scouting guys don't already have hims as a target...

Not sure how it's gonna work with Gaines as he put up some monster grades this past season and will want monster money...
