Why take a free Safety with Burnett on the board? Isn't that where they are going to play Smith?

I can\'t believe they passed on the LB\'s and DT\'s still available.

I don\'t care how good this kid is, its an absolute WASTE to pick a safety. Another 2nd round disaster. :casstet:

Can anyone please explain to me why they took a safety instead of Burnett or Thurman? I am currently in Iraq and have no way of listening to any type of broadcasts, all I can do is just watch this computer screen which is slow. Just like the Saints FO for not picking up a linebacker!

Anybody remember for 3 years everyone said we needed a CB? What did we do? Avoided it like the plague, ya know why? Cause this front office and coachign staff will not allow outsiders to tell us what we need. So in this draft, what do they have as our biggest needs? Depending on who you talked to, it was LB and CB. OT was third on most lists. So what do we do? Prove em wrong by not only not taking either with the first two picks, but TRADING UP for a T rated about the same or lower on a lot of boards as another in the draft. Brown may play RT for 10 years, but that was just stupid. And we passed on DJ. WTF???? I wonder if he or Brown will go to more pro bowls?

This kid started out as a CB and was moved to safety because of injuries to other players, I think it was two years ago. He will play as a CB not safety.

I could never understand why the Saints didn\'t draft more on need. You are probably right, they are probably to proud to listen to anyone else. All the more reason that our FO needs to be overhaulded.

From what they were saying on 870, Jim Finks philosophy was to take the #1 guy at a position and play him which I guess is why we took the number tackle in Brown.... I truly hope and think that the Saints made a good move drafting Brown and I feel he has a tenacious appetite, now as far as picking a safety in the second round I am completetly clueless but I hope Asslet knows what he is doing or he just might be trying to sabotage the organization before he is ousted.
