Goal is to get a couple of D starters and an OL. Rest of it is worthless. Unless we trade up, all those late picks straight to the garage bin so would not be surprised if we trade up to get back in the 2nd. Shelf life with Brees is like a fermenting pare. It is go time. |

We値l take Lamar Jackson. The forums will be collectively pissed. I値l be excited to have finally secured the Quarterback of the future, and I mean that in multiple ways. Then we値l go on to win it all with Jackson learning behind the GOAT.

Brees is not going to show anyone the tricks of the trade. Why would he do that? The grooming aspect never happens. They are all out their fighting for their jobs. Brees believes he can play at 45. Go tell him it's over with. He is going to have something to say about it.

Jackson looked very inconsistent at the combine. He is an incredible athlete but his accuracy is an issue and his decision making needs further testing.

Re: With the 27th Pick, the New Orleans Saints Select...
Todd McShay mock draft 3.0:
27. New Orleans Saints Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville The Saints could go offensive line with James Daniels or Billy Price, or TE with Goedert if he's available. I'm putting Jackson here because Drew Brees can't play forever, and this would be a terrific spot for him to sit, learn and develop behind a Hall of Fame QB and a terrific offensive mind in Sean Payton. |

He polished up the likes of Kerry Collins (Giants) to a SB appearance & a undrafted Tony Romo. Just imagine what Sean would do with a gifted athlete & former Heisman winning QB in Lamar. |
