this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm really excited about how this roster is shaping up. We have so many RB's we could trade Ingram now for a lineman and a pick or a young TE....

I just don't see how replacing our leading rusher with a backup lineman or project TE helps us win our second Lombardi in 2018.![]()

Three of the HBs, plus the FB have been with the team since last season, so they've got familiarity with the system, playbook... If the Saints have put a greater emphasis on a player's ability to break down plays, responsibilities in their draft efforts, then Boston should be fine... Terrance West is the real wild-card in so far as his ability to process the playbook; he's physically comparable to Ingram... On the other hand, Ingram took nearly five years to get on the field full-time and produce like a lead back, nevermind it took a first and second pick to get him... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2018 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
93 - David Onyemata ... one solid year under his belt & he's understanding the game + he has a legit D line coach.
Keep an eye on David in the trenches this season. He could make a serious leap. |

Sean Fazende was on Inside New Orleans Sports with Eric Asher and they were discussing Onyemata's moment to step up in this his third year...
