His D-Coordinator/DB Coach was Jim Leonhard so if he’s vouching for the kid’s abilities then who am I to question it? I get that, but there's a body of work (film, gameplay) out there that suggests he took off when he moved to safety... Bill Walsh claimed Ronnie Lott was a better cornerback than safety, but at least Walsh was honest enough to not mess with what was working... Payton/Allen are overthinking this... Rugby Saint II and ChrisXVI like this.
