The New Orleans Saints enter the draft with the luxury of having an elite cornerback in Marshon Lattimore, who was named the NFL’s 2017 Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Lattimore, the team’s first-round pick (11th overall) in 2017, led the Saints defense with interceptions (5) and passes defensed (18), and recorded the seventh-most defensive snaps (754). With Lattimore and cornerback Ken Crawley on the perimeter, the Saints finished the 2017 season ranked a respectable 15th in the league against the pass (224.8 yards allowed per game). The Saints bolstered the group with the signing of Patrick Robinson, who returns for a second tour of duty, and P.J. Williams, Arthur Maulet and Justin Hardee round out a young foundation and the position is not a pressing need. With the draft rapidly approaching, here’s a look at the cornerbacks as part of the draft series. Saints depth chart Marshon Lattimore Ken Crawley Patrick Robinson P.J. Re: New Orleans Saints predraft depth chart: Cornerback
I hope the Saints find a way to sign Delvin Breaux this off season. Surely he is better depth than PJ or Devante' Harris , no?
Bring in the best 90 players & eliminate the weak. Side note - any chance the Saints go Jaire Alexander, Louisville at 27? |
