Re: Bring Jimmy Graham Home!
Report: Free-agent TE Jimmy Graham marching toward New Orleans Saints reunion
Mar 12, 2018 Updated 11 min ago The New Orleans Saints haven't yet locked up free-agent QB Drew Brees, but they're working behind the scenes to bring back Brees' most dangerous pass catcher from 2011-14 for a second go-around. Momentum for a reunion between the Saints and TE Jimmy Graham is building, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo tweeted Monday morning, roughly a half-hour after teams and agents could officially start negotiating. The Saints dealt Graham and a mid-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for C Max Unger and the 31st overall pick three years ago. Graham never matched his prolific production with Brees in Seattle, but he's coming off a 10-TD campaign in which he finished by playing his best ball as a Seahawk. Graham, 31, enters Year Nine and would be an upgrade over Coby Fleener, who has disappointed since signing a five-year, $36 million deal to replace Graham, on the NFL's No. 1 passing offense. First things first: The Saints only have until the new league year opens on Wednesday afternoon to sign Brees to a new deal or his $18 million option will count as dead money toward the 2018 cap. It's long been assumed Brees and New Orleans would find common ground on a new short-term deal with the club coming off its best season since winning the Super Bowl in 2009. But the clock is ticking, and we assume — there's that word again — Mickey Loomis and Co. wouldn't be talking to Graham without feeling extremely confident Brees would still be the one throwing to him ------------------------------------- Take it for what it's worth. Ian Fullacrap is mentioned as a source. |

Re: Bring Jimmy Graham Home!
I never thought we should've let Graham go in the first place and if we wanted Unger so bad we should've given them a few picks and we probably wouldn't have gone 7-9 but 9-7 and probably made the playoffs once

Re: Bring Jimmy Graham Home!
The ONLY way the deal was going to be made was by including Graham. By including their first rounder it became a deal we couldn't turn down.
