Rest in Peace Mr. Benson, yes.
A good man. A good Catholic. Say Hello to Heaven.

I remember, when he bought the Saints in 85. There was the threat that someone else would buy them, and move them to Jacksonville, or I thought, (but was wrong,) Chicago. Back then, I was working in NWLA, and I thought I was the only Saints fan in Lousiana. I wanted to throw a party, when the sale happened. Of course, the Benson Boogie endeared him to all of us.

He nearly ran over me in his golf cart with Mrs. Gayle, at training camp in Mississippi, and looked a little startled. He was prob. a little skittish after all
the stuff following the Storm, and I told him, "Mr. Benson, we're sure glad to have you here." He smiled back, "Im glad to be here too." very warmly.

-- Listening to WWL's discussion of him tonight.

Love, because there isn't a love imoji option, brother.

He brought so much to our Saints culture and to the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.

Don't forget that Tom got New Orleans to the playoffs in 1987. He helped build a team for the past 32 years that I'm sure we are all proud of. I watched WWL-TV News at 5pm and it was very emotional.
