I am very happy about this pick. give a year or two in the system and he could seriously push for starter. This is the first pick that i got excited about.
Over all i give the draft a B-. Im ok with Brown and the LB (cant rememebr his name), I was confused about Bullock but he has a chance to compete for a stop. I question the WR, but if healthy he is supposed to be good. He is the only one that may not maket he team so far, but I hope he does. |

I\'m not even implying McPherson is the savior. But at least the FO knows that if Brooks goes down, and all we have is Todd Bouman, we\'re done. Good recognition boys.

I just read where this guy isn\'t accuate. Doesn\'t have good touch on his passes.
Maturity, football intelligence and his ability to quickly pick up the NFL defensive schemes are still in question. Sounds like what you guys say about Aaron Brooks. Just think ... if this guy ever gets on the field then we\'ll have an Adrian McPherson bashing crew. Y\'all love dem back-up QBs ... Don\'t ya? |

As explosive as Lyman is as a special teamer, and if he\'s healthy, I don\'t see why he coudn\'t make the roster. He is just as talented as Gardner with good hands and great speed. Just to repeat myself... IF healthy. Anyways... stinking Falcons took my Boley. THOSE BASTARDS!!! :comp26:

I really like this pick. HUGE upside. I think going to the AFL really humbled this kid and taught him what it means to be a professional. Anyways as for the rest of the draft:
1. Brown - B (Still can\'t believe we passed on DJ, but glad we stole one from CAR) 2. Bullocks - F (WHY?????? We passed on Burnett...) 3. Fincher - A- (I love this kid\'s attitude and bulk) 4. Lyman - D (Should have known we\'d do something stupid like this) 5. AMac - A+ (Biggest upside of perhaps any player in this draft. Dang I feel good about this one!) |

..off course, those would be comments on a draftee... not on a 5yr veteran who\'s been given every chance there is... |

Negatives: Off-field problems might be behind him, but teams will be very cautious before deciding if he is worth the gamble … Relies more on his athletic ability than a knowledge for the game and is still doing it all on instincts alone … Can get rid of ball quickly most of the time, but tends to have a little bit of a windup when flushed out of the pocket and when throwing to his left … His accuracy seems to be better when he is on the move and on touch throws rather than in the pocket (tends to get impatient).
However, McPherson was arrested on Nov. 27, 2002 on charges of stealing a blank check and receiving nearly $3,500 after it was cashed. He was kicked off the team, finishing his career with 98 of 192 passes for 1,215 yards (51.0 percent), 14 touchdowns and one interception. He also gained 196 yards on 71 rushing attempts (2.8 avg.). Three months after being dismissed from Florida State, he was also charged with gambling on pro and college games (a second-degree misdemeanor). He attempted to enroll at another school, but with the legal issues, was forced to sit out the 2003 season. Once his legal troubles were behind him, McPherson became the youngest player to ever suit up for an Arena Football League team at age 19. Mike Vick ? 4.71 in the 40-yard dash = Adrian McPherson Accurate? (51.6 percent) WOW!! We got ourselves a QB guys!! Wait till WhoDat finds out. :exclam: [Edited on 24/4/2005 by GumboBC] |

What Gumbo doesn\'t realize is that he ran a 4.5 for his private workout and was right on the nail with almost every single one of his passes. Not to mention he threw the ball 70 yards down the field with EASE.
