Jaguars release WR Allen Hurns, TE Marcedes Lewis
The Jaguars released receiver Allen Hurns and tight end Marcedes Lewis on Tuesday, creating more than $10 million in cap space. Before the move was announced, Lewis told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he got the news from his agent and feels "disrespected'' by the timing. The move comes nearly a week after free agency began. "I wish they would have done it sooner," he said. "I think I deserved a little better than this." The Jaguars saved $7 million in salary-cap space by releasing Hurns and $3.5 million more by releasing Lewis. ESPN |

Nope, unless it's a bargain basement price - No. We've got to extend @CantGuardMike among other positions in just a couple of years...
Willie will bounce back and we'll be getting him at a good price coming off a forgettable year... Only thing we need on offense is a capable Tight End and that's only going to happen in the draft this year, some Offensive Line Depth, and some Wide Receivers too develop... |

Lewis can give us 2 years and be a placeholder, but considering we were one play away from the NFCCG with virtually no TE's, I'm not sure this is a priority.
Hurns, yeah, that would be nice, but I don't think we have the dough. |

I think you have to at least consider either of these guys. Especially Hurns.

I think Hurns could be a James Jones type player on our team. It's not a bad fit. But looking at what Donte Moncrief got from the Jaguars(WTF were they thinking?), you got to wonder how much Hurns will actually cost.

Lewis is at the end of his career so I would pass. Hurns sounds good but not at 7 million a year.
