I still think we're on track for a DT or DE with our first and third pick or trade up to get either one in the second round.

I hope your right. I would not trade up for a round 2. Speaks might be sitting there in the 3rd and wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg to move a few spots to grab him. I think Speaks is underated.

It really annoys me when people say "NEEDS" when it comes to the Saints draft.

That isn't what they do!

BPA and they stay true to their board and after last couple of years and especially last years draft - it appears to be working.

Absolutely! What they "need" is the very best player on the board at that time, regardless of position. With good enough quality players across the rest of the roster you can cover for any holes that are present. No team in the NFL is perfect. But the ones that win have a majority of quality starters and quality depth.
