Didn't want Lamar. I'm OK with Davenport pick. In Payton - Brees era we always had zero or overrated pass rush.

It does look like Payton stayed out of it so yeah, I'll take this as the smartest guy in the room last year was given the same respect.

This cat better light it up on a consistent level from day 1. If he don't it's a wasted 2 1st round picks. Vea and Payne are day 1 starters and would have given much better value in my opinion.

Same....I agree. I'm glad it's wasn't Lamar. I get the trade...we are in a win now mode and we still have decent picks this year to grab some more talent. It's a risk but could play off big immediately. With finally having a good DL Coach we might see an immediate impact.

Now we just need a TE and OL....and have the team stay healthy.

If our 1 is 30 or more next year I would take it if he contributes. Inside of that we reached and fell into the water.
