The #Saints have made plenty of calls about making a big leap up from pick No. 27, I’m told. Could be due diligence in case a certain player (perhaps a QB) falls. But they will be well-prepared to move tonight if it comes down to it.

I got this sneaking suspicion that we move up for Lamar Jackson

Man I hope not. If you are "moving up" ... I want a impact Day 1 guy. Lamar ain't that guy.

That report came from Ian Rappaport so there's that.

Getting a little nervous here! Trading up?! Who could we realistically trade up for? Roquan Smith if he’s still there around 10? Tremaine Edmunds?

Saints would have to give up a lot to move that far up.

If they are ... it's gotta be for the likes of Baker Mayfield.

The Chiefs trade from last year... 27 to 10 for this year’s 3rd and next year’s first.

Man that’s risky for anyone other than a QB.

I like the trade up!!!

This year's draft SUCKS! Outside of 5 players I don't know who I like more. If they eye one guy they like then pull the trigger.

Trading back to get more picks/guys you don't like isn't the answer.

Unless trading back for picks next year.

Actually, there's an elite 12, then there's the group right under them, then there's a substantial second round-grade group that will extend into the third round...

Don't like the idea that it's been leaked we're moving up unless we're trying to get someone else to bite - AKA F*ck-F*ck games...

Move up? Wtf? No! Please don't. Is there really anyone worth trading more pucks for when we barely have any this year anyway? Ugh.

Re: 2018 NFL Draft - Draft Day

Don't like it but I kinda get it. We owned last year's draft. Move up get a legit starter. Getting that many starters in two drafts, what is it now, 6 or 7 barring this draft? Seems like we have gone 6-7 years at time without that many starters from the draft.

XVI - agreed. To possibly having only one pick within the first 2 rounds over 2 year period ... dangerous, bold territory.

8 p.m. just can't get here quick enough for me.

if we are moving up I think the pick is Bradley Cubb.

Yeah after what they have pulled off the past couple of years... that statement doesn't even make sense.

To be fair, Jeff Ireland has been on board the last two years and has had a major impact on who and how we draft.

Allen? Boy oh boy. I for one hope this isn't the case.

If he didn't have a cannon arm & 6'6 height, no way he would be considered in the first round.

And yet someone's leaking info to trash his value? Competing agencies doing back channel counter espionage to make their guy look better?

Or maybe there's a number of teams who want him to fall?

I changed it. I thought about it after you posted and have always thought Taysom Hill is the future and I'm going to stick with that.

If we trade up it's for Davenport.

Re: 2018 NFL Draft - Draft Day

We should stand still at 27. The teams ahead of us are gonna reach. There's gonna be quality players fall to us.

Calvin Ridley has been a popular choice to dropping down. 1 of those QBs are gonna fall to us. Hernandez, Wynn, or Price could be there for interior O-Line.

Davenport, Bryan, M. Hurst, or Payne could fall to us for our D-Line. Just don't see Vea dropping to us.

Stay put!

Re: 2018 NFL Draft - Draft Day

Also fine with trading up for Davenport.

The FA quarterback market next year is shallow. Why not get a guy this year?
