Re: Saints take Louisiana Tech running back Boston Scott with 2nd sixth-round pick

Most of the film available on Scott will not show him in the (assumption) role that Payton may envision - Sproles-type joker back...

He was lucky to survive even college without major injury as much as he ran between the tackles - a testament to his toughness...

With our offense, he'll be used mostly as a joker back on wheel routes, perhaps tackle bubble screens, so he'll need to earn trust as a receiver...

I like to see him in the return game. I think that has been one of the disappointing positions I'd like to see some upgrade at.

Re: Saints take Louisiana Tech running back Boston Scott with 2nd sixth-round pick

I see Boston as potentially that guy who could win a spot on special teams as a kick off/punt return nightmare for opposing teams. The fine folks at La.Tech states he's an excellent all around back. I think he could be better than Marcus Murphy but without the fumbles.

I know he was a 6th round selection but I'm really excited to see what he brings at camp.

^^^^ Smash ...

3-Cone Drill: 6.96 ... that's an eye opener (better than Sproles).
