The Dude needs to get back on medications is all. I remember a thread asking what we used to sedate ourselves on game day and he mentioned anxiety medications. I see a different perspective when I take my meds too. Who Dat!:bng:

FA wasn’t any better. We pick up a decent “when healthy” veteran and an aging TE. I do like having Watson back but I don’t see him being a game changer.
We pick 2 CBs to throw into an already crowded backfield and a RB that we plain out don’t need.
We’ve ALWAYS found solid depth backs in UDFA. This guy ain’t no Ingram.

Please point out some positives

I think you're being extreme. I will grant you that the Boston Scott and Kamrin Moore picks weren't my favorites. I was hoping for more LB depth. But I have a feeling our special teams just improved with those two guys.

I honestly feel we are loaded at LB, especially with the free agency addition of DeMario Davis. The guy is a baller and will be starting Mike on day one.+

Cameron Meredith if healthy is a great athlete. He could really help us. Keith Kirkwood WR UDFA from Temple will help us. Boston Scott can return kicks and add another home run threat to an already potent offense. Ben Watson is a legit all around good tight end. Davenport adds a monster athlete to the DE spot making a solid defense even better. Of course we need Davenport to be the impact player they obviously think he is. But if he is the real deal and we have Cam Jordan and a young stud Davenport........It could work out.

How did we break the bank to get Davenport? I keep seeing this nonsense.

Iv'e looked through the list of players we've picked up and I think we did well.

Ignore the media giving us a hard time for some of our picks. SP and the FO know what they are doing and who they wanted.

Someone has put in another post that they think Davenport is a bust! Really, how would you know that, he hasn't played a down for the Saints yet!!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

We didn't. We gave what could be the worst 1st rounder next year and a 5th this year to move up an incredible 13 spots in the first round. That's an educated gamble. It will even result in a lower cap hit for rookie next year. Win/Win!

You must consider the source. According to this person every Saints draft is a bust come Saturday all the way through 2050. For some it's how they roll. If you always expect the worst you are seldom disappointed ... unless it was the worse you were wishing for, of course.

I like the addition of Davis a lot! Especially that he hasn't missed a game in his career. If Klein, Davis, and Robertson are on the field, I'm pretty happy. I just worry about the depth, since Anzelone and Kikaha haven't stayed healthy.

I agree. Demario is a sleeper FA signing. I know our great friend Hagan was beating the drum to get AJ Klein last year but I'm just not all that impressed with his play. Just felt that Robertson was the most consistent LB we had. It wouldn't surprise me to see Nolan slide AJ over to SAM.

IMO Davis (MLB) will become our Ellerbe in 2018 without the injury concerns. He adds much needed speed, instincts & physical nature you must have at the position.
