Wait until we hear the circumstances. Yes, it has to be classified as stupid, but it most likely isn't intentional. There are so many over the counter crap these days that have things that fall on the league's banned list. No player should ever take anything without running it by the team training staff first.

But, herein lies an issue. The most recent CBA restricts a great deal more of off-season contact between the franchise and the players.

As I said, let's wait and see the circumstances. A positive is that another back is going to receive valuable time until Ingram returns.

I know that the Vacarro and Snead incidents were extremely different. Curious to see what happened with Ingram.

I wonder if this keeps him from becoming our all-time leading rusher. Four less games to do it and then he’s a free agent.

Ingram can still get his 1000 in twelve games, unless someone else steals his touches.

If it does anything it makes his agent's demands on his next contract weaker. The Saints should be able to leverage this into a one year prove it year with a team option for more.

Yes, and with his next contract coming up those parts could align nicely with the front office come negotiations time.
