Re: Saint's Mark Ingram 'vigorously challenged' suspension, but lost case, lawyer says
It will depend upon the circumstances. That said, this whole deal about Ingram wanting a new deal is fabricated. When he fired his manager (which by the way was immediately after he was first informed of the "violation') there was some speculation that it was to better bargain for a new deal. That speculation was picked up by others and spread about. It transformed into him demanding a new deal. That's why I have always said never just read the headlines. I'd say 90% of the time if you track back through the so called "sources" in the articles it will end up being started by one person speculating.

Think our bye is week 6. I don't think he would comeback immediately either. Pretty much a death sentence to his season. I guess he could turn it around but I thought the same with Snead. Never happened but he did have an injury as well.

Snead was hurt and came back over-weight. There is also a huge difference between WR's and RB's in preparation. More more timing with the QB required as a WR. Personally, I doubt Ingram skips a beat when he returns. I think he'll be angry and hungry.

Golden opportunity to see if Alvin Kamara can be a 3 down back. A guy this talented should get the opportunity to at least try. As for Ingram, he will be a nice addition in week 5 with his fresh legs.

Strief said today while being interviewed on NFL Radio that he doesn't expect Kamara to see much more, if any more, touches than normal. He said that another RB (from the current roster) will step in and take the touches that Ingram would miss. He said he knows they'll stay with the same offense with the backs splitting time.

AK is much more effective in the dual offense. The absence of MI for the first few weeks will be felt. |

Don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.

AK will see a slight uptick in touches. If whoever fills in does a great job MI will be riding the pine or traded. No way are we going to tinker with it.

No way Ingram rides the bench. Ingram knows that offense FAR too well. I have a feeling you are less enamored by Mark than is Payton.
