I know it's all academic now, but...
"A Pro Bowl performer in 2001, Knight leads all safeties in "big plays" -- a total of sacks, interceptions, fumbles forced and recovered and touchdowns -- over the past three seasons. His 16 interceptions in that period are the third most among all safeties and his 28 pickoffs in six years with the Saints ranks third on the franchise's all-time list." -Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com Jeez, do we ever need an upgrade at Safety? No wonder we tanked the last two years. Our secondary stinks... I hope you're picking up on my sarcasm. |

My opinion - he\'ll end up in the Pro Bowl next year or the year after just like Roaf, Glover, Ricky, and if it wasn\'t for an injury you might have seen Joe Johnson there too. I just don\'t understand why this team always grooms players to be Pro Bowlers, and then as soo as they arrive, we cut \'em. That\'s crazy. We spend big money on an unproven QB going into his third year with the team (2nd as a starter), but don\'t give the money to guys like Glover and Johnson (or Knight this year) who have proven time and again that they are top-notch. Is it just me or does anyone else see this logic as skewed?
