this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Still don't understand why local foods aren't served instead of the more mundane stadium foods. Who wouldn't want a little red beans and rice or jumbalaya, or some étouffe or something?...

Because the company mentioned in my previous post has absolute power and control of all the food in the dome and champion square. If an outside vendor wants to cater a suite, set up a food truck, or open a booth they have to give that company 30% of their gross sales. Giving away 30% of sales In an industry that has an average profit margin of 3-5% does not give you much room to make money. Only outside vendors that can afford that are big corporations like Dominos. That’s why you don’t see more food. That company has been gouging customers for years on some of lowest food cost items in the industry. Why offer better food at a higher cost if you don’t have to. Only way they offer anything better food is if fans stop buying.
