RE: Saints saving Deuce Money
Since we weren't able to unload Howard on anyone, they need to save where they can. Pathon was always going to be a cap casualty because of his high salary and 3rd WR status. Nothing against him. That's just the way it goes.

I like Poole. I guess that this makes the Troy Brown deal moot.
I'd like to see Nathan Black back in the Black... and Gold. |

I don't think the Saints were looking at replacing Pathon with a VFA, I think they were happy at what we have in house and draft that we were fine. I think due to the recent injuries we are suddening thin at WR.

Isn't Poole the guy that caught that pass from McCown two years ago beating the Vikes or someone and knocking them out the playoffs? I thought he was a decent receiver. We should have just signed him and never drafted Lyman. :P

Bite me.
Poole isn't too bad... he put up a couple of good games for the Cardinals two years ago and dropped off the face of the earth last year. Was he injured or something? Anyways he should provide some depth behind our other 5 receivers if we even keep him. Horn, Stallworth, Henderson, Gardner, Lewis, and Poole doesn't look too bad. |

Poole hasn't ever played a complete NFL season according to NFL.com.
Link: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/237426 I couldn't find more in a reasonable amount of time; does anyone know why? |

Maybe he's injury prone! We can hope, huh?
Maybe when the Saints move to San Antonio, which will happen sometime in the next week if you believe Tom Benson and some posters I've seen around, they can change their name to the San Antonio MASH. All white uni's with the red cross. Then it wouldn't look so weird when the WRs we draft need wheelchairs or walkers, and our starting tackles have more metal around their legs than Darth Vader, our Pro Bowl WR limps off after every other play, and our starting RB never actually starts. |

I thought that too, Who (not the stuff about San Antonio, but the injury stuff). However, I couldn't find much. He tweaked a Ham String one game, but that was all I could find. Maybe he was just deactivated many of the games?
