You don’t let anything behind you. You should be able to cover multiple receivers when you’re in a zone. You keep them in front of you and split the difference between them. Everybody knew Callaway was the deeper threat on that play. Crawley should've know that.
Situational awareness complete garbage.
If he's choosing between 2 receivers in the zone, you stay behind the deepest threat in that situation & give up the underneath 1st down...live to play another down. You don't fart yourself getting burned 50 in a close game late in the 4th. |
