PJ Williams to Start in Place of Crawley vs Falcons
 

”New Orleans Saints cornerback P.J. Williams started the first three games of 2017 before Ken Crawley replaced him in Week 4 and then for the duration of the season.

Nearly a year later, the two cornerbacks are experiencing a bit of a role reversal as the Saints are planning to bench Crawley in Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to a league source.”

I think the whole secondary is at fault and Ken is just the scapegoat. I don't see a major upgrade with PJ. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Oh, boy. Crawley is way better corner. P.J. never tracks the football. DPI waiting to happen...

I'll say it again: In first two games Crawley was better than Lattimore. He wasn't great by any means but entire secondary struggled.

I don't know about that...but even if it is so...they're aren't going to bench Lattimore. He was too good last year. (I just wish he'd show that same magic this year.)

Sanu will be his responsibility. Someone send a quick message to PJ and let him know that this is his contract year ;). Hopefully he's ready.

I'm more concerned about Teo' being out on Sunday. He's played well the last 2 weeks.

My thoughts too. Would really be nice to see a good defensive effort against the Clowns.

Speaking of which...can someone call our defensive line and ask them to show up in this game?

P.J. came out of the gates looking like our next Tracy Porter until a series of unfortunate events, injuries derailed him...

Williams has the higher ceiling than Crawley, and the previous point that we have the depth to go with the hot hand is a good thing...
