The only requirement is that you must sign a practice squad player to your 53 man roster. So Scott is really no more protected on the Saints practice squad than he is if we bring him up and then send him back down. The only difference is that a player off waivers can be placed on someone else's practice squad whereas a player signed off the practice squad must go the 53, and then presumably waivers, before they can be placed on someone else's practice squad.![]()
