My g/f is a social media marketing & advertisement guru. This is what happens... I know this first hand... these marketing experts with their high powered computers with their jet fast internet connections come up with all these cute vids & graphics to "wow, inspire, and grab attention", and they do it in the highest possible resolution which makes the "popup Ad" not only annoying but it's a big layered program that is not designed for the average computer. It looks real cute when they run it on their end, but when I try to open a page on an average personal computer it takes forever to load. I've had this conversation many times with these marketing over-educated over-creative dummies.

Agree. Spent the past twenty-five year in systems and design along with their business applications. I was always always trying to get systems to coexist with the lowest common user platform.
