I have come to terms with Ginn being a Bog Play guy.... If the ball goes to him; its either a big play for us, or a big play for our opponent.. wither way

Big Play Ginn... #BPG

PFF grades are based off of several factors beyond box score statistics. I believe for defensive players it can include positioning on individual plays. Quite often the responsibility of defensive players is to channel the play to a specific area that can be better contained. A player can receive a positive PFF grade if they did their job whether the others did or not. If they were not in position they would be graded negatively. It is clearly FAR more subjective than statistical grading, but tells a better story for "non skill position" players.

To make it a little less subjective I have read that multiple "experts" evaluate each play and the grades are combined in some manner.

Don't forget that Scott Shanle was named by his Saints teammates as the Defensive MVP one year while many around here were down on him because he wasn't putting up "box score numbers".

Bell has been around the ball in run D & pass coverage. He's jumped out at me a few times in the last 2 games.

Re: 1st Qtr---The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

For what it’s worth, Vonn Bell played 49 out of 62 snaps vs the Giants (79%). Kurt Coleman played 13 (21%).

Compare that to week one where Kurt Coleman played 37 of 66 snaps (56%) and Vonn Bell played 30 of 66 (45%).

The coaching staff is figuring out what works. Much to everyone’s surprise, more Vonn Bell equals good things.

I know the coaches have been really impressed with Bell since camp started.
