Re: Question for the Forum

I think about this from time to time. I absolutely would if I were him. He’ll be 40 and that’s a nice symbolic age to start the next phase of life. It’s so rare for a legend to have the opportunity to go out on top.

On the other hand though, we’d have $21 million in dead cap from Brees retiring.

Re: Question for the Forum

Completion % 75.8 TD's 8 INT 0 Drew is still playing lights out, is still healthy...even if he gets his second ring as long as he's healthy he'll be back next year. As great as he is, he's been continually underrated through out his career and still is today even though he's domino-ing the big records. I think that will keep him going until he can't play anymore.

Re: Question for the Forum

I think it depends heavily on what Payton does. I feel like they’d both ride off into the sunset and/or new teams

Re: Question for the Forum

Considering how he has been slighted by the sports media, as long as he’s healthy, I could see him playing until his numbers are so big that all the sports writers who ignored him will have long died before his records fall.

Re: Question for the Forum

I believe Brees keeps playing. The way QBs are overprotected, he could go another 7 years.

I think he would stay. He’s to competitive not to. As long as he feels like he can go out and compete on a high level he will play.

Agree with these. Brees has stated that as long as he enjoys what he is doing and he can do it at a high level he will continue. As an added incentive, he has also said he wants each of his children to see, understand and enjoy what he is doing with his career. His daughter, Rylen, is only around four now, right? It'll be a few more years until she understands what's going on in the game.
