Re: Ingram's New Contract
Mark is 28...you're going to want to go with a 3 year contract.

Re: Ingram's New Contract
I think a good contract offer for Ingram would be similar to the deal Lamar Miller signed with the Texans.
4 yrs / $26m ($14m guaranteed) Gives him an average salary of $6.5m which is an upgrade from his current $4m/year. |

Re: Ingram's New Contract
We won't be resigning him. Enjoy this ride. This is from the person who said we would draft him. I love the guy but have to take emotions out of it. Being stuck with a 31 yr old RB is a very poor decision. It rarely works out therefore unwise.

Re: Ingram's New Contract
There are two teams who are currently slated to have $100m+ in cap space next offseason and they both have big needs at RB: the Colts and the Jets.
The crown jewel of free agent RB’s will obviously be Le’Veon Bell (barring a trade this season). Mark Ingram and Tevin Coleman will be in the next tier. Will a team who misses out on Bell overpay for Ingram as a consolation prize? Only time will tell. |

Re: Ingram's New Contract
I think it depends a lot on how Scott is developing.

Re: Ingram's New Contract
I'd pay him what he's making now with an adjustment for inflation (aka the salary cap)...
I'd rather take a slight hit at RB and make real gains with a real cornerback opposite Lattimore and shore up the offensive line... |
