Drew is playing some of the best football he has ever played, which is why I said the best move of our entire offseason was signing Teddy. Man Drew doesn't need to be pushed to be great, but even a nudge for that dude makes him play to the tune of 0 interceptions in 6 games. That figure is astronomical in my opinion...really insane. ![]()
At the end of the day there's absolutely no reason we cannot resign Teddy and unless there is an offer we cannot pass up I think he will be here. TH is not the QB of the future, sorry. I like him too, and he is one hell of an athlete. Teddy wasn't signed with the idea of him being here for one year. That doesn't mean that couldn't still happen, we might not be able to come to contract agreement, someone could offer a second round pick, but he wasn't traded for with this year only in mind. And to back that opinion up we went with Chase as our full time backup last year...anyone here really believe that Chase was better than Tom Savage. Tom is not a good QB, but I have news for you, neither is Chase...at all. He is actually kind of terrible. Tom is actually as good if not better. |

IF something of material matter can be obtained that can increase our chances at Lombadi II then make it so, brother!

Drew has to be replaced at some point and the end will probably be swift for Drew. Starting QB material is hard to find...not a good idea to keep missing opportunity. ![]()
But the argument was Teddy was insurance for this year and nothing more when acquired. I don't think that us true. He was acquired because he was seen as a real replacement for Drew. That is evidenced by our sticking with chase as our number 2 for an entire season |
