Here's something interesting,
On OFFENSE, even with Gandy (34), Horn (33), and Mayberry (31) our average age is 27 years old. If Stinch beats out Gandy it drops to 26. On DEFENSE: Even with Bellamy (32) our average age is 26. Drops to 25 if we replace Bellay with Bullocks. We have an extremely young team. I guess thats good and bad though. |

So, we're young enough that when Haz is fired after this season, we have a good nucleus of talent that will be around for a while on both sides of the ball.

I was just thinking the same thing Danno. We're young. Think of it in NFL years. We got a whole lot of players who don't yet have 5 years of experience.

That also tells you that, if the scouts and staff were on the mark on even half of the young players that they brought in, the team should have talent to build on for years to come. Bentley, Grant, Deuce, J. Brown, W. Smith... those are all pro bowlers or potential Pro Bowlers. Add in some key but still fairly young veterans in McKenzie, D. Smith, D. Howard (if he stays - doubtful), and some guys who have potential to really develop, Holland, Stinchcomb, Stallworth, Henderson, Karney, A Mac (hehehe), Watson, Buckwoldt, Fincher, Bullocks, Allen... not bad I'd say. The problem remains whether this coaching staff can do anything with the talent or not.
