As the #2/"Y" guy, he cleared out routes for the "X" and "Z" wr's. You'll see him more on those deep routes, however his chances on Sunday were limited.

Based on the snap count, Tre did his job and did it well.

Trust me, come playoffs he'll get "his". Sean P simply spreads the wealth around from week to week.

Edit: see snap count from last week's game.

Good to hear

So they wanted to see what the practice squad kid could do?

I was fearing Tre'Quan had a nagging injury

Had to revive this from just last week.

In a Sean Payton's offense, you will get your opportunities. Tre (10/157 1TD) got his chance to shine and he delivered on yesterday.

I expect someone else to step up vs the Falcons this week. Kirkwood? Or maybe even Brandon Marshall .

IMO Kirkwood was caught up in a numbers game. Had a really solid training camp however TLL got the nod on the final 53 . Unfortunate injury to Dez, however KK delivered when the opportunity presented and promotion from the practice squad.

My question is who gets waived once Ginn Jr returns? Carr? Marshall?

I'm good rolling with TQ & Kirkwood from here on out. Developing them during a playoff run is better in the overall bigger picture.

Ginn is a drop machine, anyhow. He don't make half those catches TQ made yesterday. I'd think Carr gets waived since Ginn at least has elite speed to stretch the field. Just don't throw him the ball unless he's wide freakin open.

Thomas, Kirkwood and Tre'quan all have that look that they can bust the play loose in any given moment.

Tre'quan - Man he was battling for every target, the DB's were getting hounded by him.

Kirkwood - he just looks so comfortable out there, runs good routes, big guy, good speed and catches well.

Not meant as a slight, but I don't think Brandon Marshall should get any game time at the moment. The offense is clicking.

Tre'quan had some fantastic catches last night, especially the TD. That said, I liked ] seeing him come back to the ball in tight coverage, preventing the DB from getting a hand on it. The kid is going to be great.

That play shows an awareness that not many receivers have, the DB had decent position and could have made the pick. Tre'quan just completely cut his angle off and came back to snag the ball.

The Saints receivers are getting coached up good. Real good. Brees has had a rep of throwing interceptions, a reputation that was not totally justified. Considering his accuracy and ability to throw into tight coverage, historically a number of his picks are really the receivers' fault for failing to make a clean catch, not coming back on the ball, etc. Those plays aren't happening this year, tight coverage or not.
