Because as you know but probably haven't considered, LA isn't going to support an NFL product that rates middle to lower 1/3rd... The NFL has a new market to build to support.

Its the entertainment/business side that we chose to ignore so that we can forgo being cynical about our 'sport'.

Some interesting discussion at 5am on NFLSirius... Along the line of "why was espn billing that game as a Super Bowl Preview, I am sure the Saints will have something to say about that"... "yes, but its espn pushing their product and we all know that in order for a team to be successful in LA it is going to have celebrity status".

That's all I heard, my coffee cup needed refilling.
