Can you explain to me how the Rams D is "good"?

Against teams with a record of 4-6 or better (8 games), they've given up 32.4 (!!) points per game, including 45 to the Saints and 51 (!!) at HOME against the Chiefs. They had a grand total of 0 (!!) sacks against the Saints, yet every single media member outside of NOLA beat writers still drools over Aaron Donald and Marcus Peters.

Saints defense by comparison has given up 19.6 PPG against teams 4-6 or better in 6 games.

They aren’t. I don’t think many are saying they are any good. They got some TOs against KC but I think that was more about Mahommes inexperience an inability to hold onto the ball when pressured. The Rams produced 3 turnovers and still almost lost.
Their home field advantage sucks too.
I think there is something off in the structure of the standings when we both have one loss, theirs to us, yet they are ahead of us.
Goes to show you how much a division loss hurts.

They rightly drool over Donald he's a damn beast. The issue from what I've seen is the rest of the line wants sacks. Especially Suh, can't have both DT trying to sack and not playing the run. And like the Falcons they are small at linebacker. All well and good when playing the pass but a 225lb ILB not going to hold the middle when the two DT have left space for the runner to build up a head of steam.

I like Peters but he has sucked since the trade

They were ahead of us because they'd played one more game. The Saints won this week and the Rams are on bye so the Saints are ahead of the Rams now due to the head to head match up. The division loss doesn't apply in this case.

Conference tie breakers
Head-to-head, if applicable. (For ties among three or more teams, this step is only applied if there is a head-to-head sweep; i.e., if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
Strength of victory (record of all the teams they defeated that season).
Strength of schedule (record of all the teams they played that season).
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in conference games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games

Each win is worth a 1/2 game when the losses are equal. At 10-1 the Rams had 5 games. At 9-1 (at the time) the Saints had 4.5 games. That's why the Rams were in the #1 slot. Our win Thursday pulled the records even. Then the tiebreakers kick in. We have the #1 tiebreaker: head to head.

Ties are the same BTW. Worth a 1/2 win. That's why Minnesota at 5-4-1 are ahead of the teams that are 5-5.

It's not! When you let a team hang 51 on you or even 35 your D ain't s**t!

NFL.com's playoff picture has us at #1 seed... The Rams are not ranked above us.

In conference rankings we are above the Rams.

Same comment I made to Halo about the LA.. Hype. The league has an obligation to push this new venture and stadium. The NFL has become entertainment and marketing and this is marketing hype.

The Dude was likely looking at standings as of before the game when the Rams were 10-1 and the Saints 9-1. With both with the same record, there's no way the Rams would be put above the Saints.
