I've been hearing crap all week long from the local Cowpatty fans here in northwest Louisiana bragging about their "impressive" three game win streak against teams the Saints manhandled. They've been out there with their ugly-assed blue and white jerseys still smelling of moth-balls and wearing shiny new star laden caps with the tag still hanging from the back. They've dug through the attic to find their car window flags from 1994 and have plastered a new bumper sticker over the one of their other "favorite" NFL team making it about eight layers thick at this point.

While pumping gas about an hour ago this young Dallas fan who wasn't even born yet the last time the Cowpatties were relevant tries talking smack. It was ugly. He finally backed off "just hoping for a good game". Wonder what happened to his initial claims of "dominating the Saints"? So many new bandwagon 'Patty fans around here because of Prescott who went to high school ten minutes from my house. I don't care at all. He's now a 'Patty and I hope he gets his bell rung by our entire defensive front.

18-1 Baby!

It does get kind of sad when fans of a 6-5 team, trying to maintain relevancy, treat a regular season game like the Super Bowl.

Those fans need a dose of reality, as in:
The Vikings were 4-2-1 when we beat them 30-20 in Minneapolis.
The Bengals were 5-3 when we beat them 51-14 in Cincinnati.
The Eagles were 4 -5 when we beat them 48-7 at home.
The Rams were undefeated when we beat them 45-35 at home ( it really wasn't that close)

Now, strange things happen on any given ..... Thursday, but I can't see Dallas stopping or keeping up with this offense.

Only Cleveland and Washington have sacked Brees more that once. If you can't pressure Brees CONSISTENTLY you can't win. To do that requires a "stop the passing game at all cost" approach on defense, and if you succeed, Kamara and Ingram will go over 200 yards on the ground, eating up so much clock that the Dallas offense won't even get on the field.

Only the Saints can beat the Saints.
