I don't think having Hakim will "hurt" anything, but I just don't know if it will help anything either. Johnnie Morton was released from KC....I say go after him. Respectable, capable older vet that can come in and be a good mentor for the younger guys. Morton is older but he has great hands and he can still contribute.
