Hakim's Visit: Scratching My Head.
Az Hakim was in for a visit. McCarthy's quote was "we're always looking to upgrade our team if we can." ???
First of all, I don't think Hakim is an upgrade for us. Are they that disappointed with their 2nd round pick Henderson? Do they not think Michael Lewis can play? Where is Chance Lymon? (OK, I couldn't help that one.) Upgrade? Why don't they ever apply this reasoning to positions that need a bit of an upgrade? I just don't get it. How hard is it to pick up a free agent linebacker. You might not get a superstar, but if you can't find someone better than Roger Knight or Derrick Rogers or Orlando Ruff then you aren't trying very hard. The same thing happened a couple of years ago with the cornerbacks. Is this just tunnel vision? Is this stubbornness to show that you found a diamond in the rough? (Ruff) What is it? On the other hand, I'm glad to hear that they are always looking to upgrade the team. |

RE: Hakim
Hakim dropped the ball, Hakim dropped the ball...
Come on guys, he can't play for us... he made history for us. That would be like Sadam Hussein becoming our ambassador to Iraq. http://www.blackandgold.net/site/mod...eq=getit&lid=2 |

RE: Hakim
Thats even more reason to sign him. He has been helping us out now its time we pay him, lol. He helped us then lets take a look and see if he can help us now. I don't have a porblem bringing him in. M. Lewis hasn't really turned into a WR and he is up there in age. He's speek will start to drop faster than the speed of light. Don't be so quick to attach the word upgrade to a player as in replacing... but look at upgrade at a position. Adding a player and thats it for now.

RE: Hakim
Hakim stinks, he drops balls left and right and he's injury prone. I dont see this as an upgrade either.

Yall all go back to when he droped the ball. My point is he dropes the ball! We dont need another guy to drop the ball we have enough Hakim wouldn't do nuthing for this franchise. He would probly be #4 WR if we even signed him. We dont need him.

actually I think he is a perfect fit for us... We need to bring in a vet WR but we don't need one who is going to cost us an arm and a leg. We don't need a stud WR just someone we can routate into the mix and in case of injuries set in on us. Back up for Stallworth mabye...
