He was "offered" the exclusive franchise tag in March of 2012. That's when the NFLPA challenged it. He then signed the five year $100 million deal in July 2012, so the tag was never applied.
And I expect they get Thomas signed. The tag is starting to bite teams in the ass (see Cousins and Le'veon Bell). |
