Isn't it always the case? Why can't they produce earlier rather than underperform their first contract? It's more the exception when a rookie outperforms his rookie deal.

I remember when it almost always took 2 or 3 years for defensive linemen to develop fully.

I believe he's under contract through 2019. He's gonna strike his mega deal in 2020.

It still does. That's why it was so unfair for many around here to dog Rankins for the first couple of years.
