Yeah Dan Campbell was just biding his time here, no surprise that he's getting called.
The real question in my book will be DA with all the openings I can't imagine that he gets overlooked.

I don’t think Dennis Allen gets a HC shot. Our defensive resurgence is all about Ryan Nielsen, Mike Nolan and Aaron Glenn. I’d be more upset about losing one of them to a DC job.

No coach ever takes an assistant HC gig without intending to move up to head coach somewhere. The Patriots lose assistants to HC gigs all the time, so if anything its correlated to winning not losing. The whole team plays with more energy if there is the sense that our backups are other teams future starters and our assistants will soon be coaching the rest of the league.
