fine line between cute and too cute
would definitely rather see him running/catching the ball, not throwing it |

Definitely. Could be a good different or a bad. Especially in a trick play. He will definitely have key impact on special teams.

I like when I see us line up with him and Kamara in an option run. I don't like when I see him drop back to pass in this same format. You know it's typically a one read progression and he tends to just toss it like it was drawn up despite the coverage or defensive look. Use him to run, block and catch more until he develops more in this role. We are still in the toddler stage of this.

Re: No. 7 - Difference Maker In Playoffs?
I've noticed that Payton uses him a lot in the middle of the field, on long drives -- Drew will get the first couple of first downs, then Hill moves in for a couple of those semi-crazy gimmick or fun plays, in that area inbetween the 40s. Then once we get closer to the red zone, Brees comes back out to deliver the final kill shot. In some ways it's made Brees even more fearsome, because it seems to me like Brees is on fire and surgically precise, whenever he comes back after we run a couple of those zany, fun Taysom Hill plays. It's gotta be driving defensive players on the other teams crazy.

Taysom's success at throwing thus far has been.. uh, lacking.
BUT, defenses have to respect the fact that he might throw it, because he just might. Taysom will definitely be a difference maker in the playoffs. He's already been a difference maker in every close game we've won this year. Whether it's getting a crucial 1st down or blocking a punt. And I expect he'll do his job in the next game. |

Eagles CBs are showing that some guys just need more reps to get better - Taysom will be the same case...
In the meantime, nothing will fire up that team and Dome more than when Taysom gets some done on the field... Blocked punt, First Down Conversion on an RPO, Tearing off a big return on a kickoff, it's all good... |

In Peyton I trust. Giving a play caller like Sean Peyton a weapon like that. Too fun! Good luck Eagles. WHODAT!
