this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Brees CAN run but once pressured out of the pocket he’s horrible. Our line stays healthy and it won’t be an issue....

Re: If you haven’t noticed
Through the first half in today's game the running Lamar Jackson has looked like crap and is getting shutout by the extremely sedentary Rivers.

Re: If you haven’t noticed
running QB's are not the same as a scrambling QB, IMHO. They are different. AR is more of a scrambler than a runner. He opens or buys time with his feet.
But to answer your question the answer is no. The NFL and people that are in media have been pushing that narrative for YEARSSSSS. It still hasn't come to fruition. QB's are meant to pass. BTW look at the Ravens right now. Give me an effective passer every day of the week. If he is mobile as well, great. But I want the accurate, effective passer first. And as someone else above said Drew is mobile and agile. He's not fast in the open field like vick, but he can create room by rolling out. |
Your team stinks

Re: If you haven’t noticed
At this level of football, you have to be able to somewhat stay in the pocket and make plays with your arm. Good D coordinators will figure out "running style" QB's. Jackson needs a lot of work to become a accurate passer.
We may see Flucco before this one is done. |

Re: If you haven’t noticed
they should have brought him off the bench already. Jackson, IMHO, is not starting material. It was great to ride it while you could but at this point, right now, you bring Joe back in and see what you got with the rest if this team

Re: If you haven’t noticed
It may be too late at this point. Jackson has got them too far into a hole.
