He'll toss it for a TD.

But if you remember he ran it in for a TD for about that many yards against the Falcons on his spin move.

Brees is smart. He'll assess then decide what to do

There is a huge difference between a running Quarterback and a mobile Quarterback. I would rather have Brees than any of the runners because, although they can be exciting, they have more chance of being injured...
...and he is just much better

Re: If you haven’t noticed

If your QB (not named Taysom Hill). Is running that isn't a good thing. Means your WR's are covered like a blanket, means your QB can't throw a big time on the money pass, means there is pressure in your QB's face.

Thanks but no thanks I'll go with Brees any day of the week.

Re: If you haven’t noticed

If the fact that a mobile QB won the matchup of Wilson vs Prescott is proof that all NFL QB's will be mobile in the future, then the winning QB of Saints vs Eagles is likely to prove that all NFL QB's will be graduates of Westlake High School in Austin, TX in the future. Also, if you have to be a mobile QB in the future of the NFL, none of these young QBs who are mobile now will be mobile at 35 and stay healthy, so Drew's records will last forever.

Running QB's are great, if you're playing Vanderbilt, in the Energizer Battery Bowl. They'll give you some flash and dash, and make some highlights, in game 3, or the Wild Card Round. They were big heroes in high school or college, but it doesnt play for the duration in the NFL. Case in point. I think you've heard the last of Cam Newton already.

The QB position in the NFL should be a hub for all points on the field, and not just where your feet are. If you do not do this, you may win some games with your feet, but defenses will simply spy you out, eventually, or you'll take a beating and lose a step. You cannot win in the NFL at QB, if you cant read defense, and strike across the field. None of these wishbone guys are going to win the SB.

Re: If you haven’t noticed

As long as we give Brees great protection, we don't need a mobile QB.

Just look at the Colts vs Texans. Their OL didn't let JJ or Clowney anywhere near Luck. Luck didn't even need his mobility. He just stayed in a clear pocket and picked apart the Texans. He looked like he was shooting free throws out there. That plus good running with Kamara/Ingram/Hill is our recipe for success.

Jackson will never be as good as he was this year. He can't read defenses. He's not accurate. He doesn't have a a strong arm. The Chargers figured him out. Others will as well. He will get broke up. Mahomes has elite arm talent. He's smart as well. He is special.
