BUDDY DILBERTO'S PREDICTION...
Like Most Saints fans who have been frustrated, Buddy D, Has always Said you watch them Saints will go to the Superbowl the year after I die....
Well God Rest your Soul Buddy, But I hope you were Right...... The Bad thing is though....... It Looks like it will take More of a Miracle to keep Dem Saints in New Orleans than it would to have us win a Superbowl.... Any coments welcome I am a depressed Saints fan, and have a hard time even thinking about the upcoming season, with all this crap hanging over the Team.............. |

RE: BUDDY DILBERTO
WD52,
I know you're deoressed but don't get too down. I think the chances of the team moving are slim at best. Because Benson is getting old and want's his granddaughter to inherit the team. If the Saints leave now they will have to pay a large fee to the State. Because the team has a deal with the state currently and it doesn't look like they are going to give it up. And finally, the real team to probably move to LA is going to be San Diego. I think the chargers will be there sooner than you think. |

RE: BUDDY DILBERTO
Yeah I agree they won't go anywheres. Sure yeah there are signs they COULD, but unlikely. Its all part of bargining... if a team shows they can move if they don't get a good deal, its just so they can have the upper hand. State says fine move... shows the state doesn't care and thinks they have the upper hand. Sooner or later a deal will be struck either with this govenor or the next. This wait is only prolonging the New Orleans area from benefiting from getting the next Super Bowl bid. The state is actually missing out on something like 90-95 million dollars they can make for hosting a Suber Bowl. To many factors have to be in place for a Saints move... one important one is the NFL has to approve it and there hasn't been such a request. 2nd, the next city to get a NFL team is LA not San Antonio I say this because NFL doesn't want Benson in LA they want new blood in LA. More likely Vikings or an expansion team in a few years but... no need to fret just yet.
