That's because he has a high cap charge... therefore the price for obtaining him seems pretty cheap. I doubt they have the cap room to acquire him... and I'd probably pass on a one year rental. If he's not going to be a one year rental, what will they do with Fred Taylor once he gets healthy? It would also make drafting Greg Jones a year ago a bust. Too many superstars on the team... Leftwich, Stroud, Hayward, Henderson, Taylor, Darius, Mathis, etc... I can't see him adding to the payroll no matter how much they need a running back right now. I'd like for them to continue giving Toefield a look. Let's see what our LSU Tiger can do.

I'd make the trade for Alexander and shop Taylor to a team who needs a good RB and doesn't mind taking the risk on his health. It seems like he;s always injured, but some team might want him bad enough to give up something.
