Points:
1) Brooks will be a top ten qb and only not start if injured 2) A-Mac will get the #2 spot to start the season. He has the potential and probably will be good down the road. We will only answer the hype/no-hype debate if Brooks is injured. Only hype out there is that he is good enough to take Brooks' job this year. 3)Bouman Blows 4) I think Haslett does like Brooks, but I think his decision to play him while injured had more to do with stubornness and his never quit personality. I think that is one area he has matured in over the years by retaining the never quit attitude while knowing when to act correctly in certain situations. Everyone knocks our coaches, but I like Haslett. He's learning and has the mentality a coach needs for our team. Not so sure about those underneath him though. |

Bouman can blow all he wants but he has the experience and better knowledge of the game. I wouldn't put my rookie 5th round draft pick as my 2nd stringer. I don't think even Aaron Rodgers will be Favre's primary backup.
Ride the pine and pay his dues. We shouldn't expect much if anything at all this year from Adrian. If he's lucky, he might get to kneel out the clock on the final play of a game this year. |

A-Mac might see some playing time in the preseason.....other than that, I highly doubt we'll see him on the field this year.

If he is better than Brooks (and he may be in a few years) than I want my 5th rounder as the QB. (By the way -- what round was Brady drafted in -- AB for that matter)

Lets not forget what happened in St Louis. Kurt Warner started his first year out of the Arena league. I do think this kid should mature a little. He is probably one of the most athletic QBs to be drafted. My feeling is that we have another Delhomme situation on our hands. Well keep him for a few and trade him to a team that will have a Super Bowl Season.

I'm not trying to dog him being drafted in the 5th round because I wanted us to drafted him much earlier. I'm just saying barring some freak accident to Brooks and Bouman combined with an absolutely horrid record, I honestly don't think he'll see the field besides preseason. Trust me... I LOVE A-Mac's "potential"... but he still is raw and needs to learn the our version of the West Coast offense, a system in which normally takes quite some time to pick up.

If you knew me 4saintspirit or generally read my posts, you would know I could careless where anyone was drafted. I'm all for underdogs and I LOVE to see young players develop. A-Mac will be great for us down the line and I'm a supporter. |
